A mediterranean sauce made of yogurt and cucumber, fresh herbs, garlic and lime juice. Can be enjoyed as a vegetable dip, a sauce in a wrap, as a side with spicy dishes or even a topping for meats and vegetables.
Ingredients Makes: Approx. 1 cup
3/4 cup plain greek yogurt
1/2 cucumber, peeled, seeded and grated
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tbsp parsley, fresh chopped fine
2 tbsp mint, fresh chopped fine
1 tbsp lime juice or lemon juice
1 pinch of sea salt, pepper to taste
Allow fresh ingredients to air dry of moisture. Combine yogurt, cucumber, garlic, parsley, mint, lime juice, sea salt and pepper. Refrigerate for 2 hours before serving.
*There are many tasty uses for tzatziki sauce such as: a vegetable dip, a sauce served on the side of spicy dishes or as a sauce added to a wrap.
